History comes to life with our Medieval History Assembly
In our Medieval History Assembly, The Knight entertains and educates your students while wearing a full suite of plate armor. Your students will me mesmerized by the flashing and clanking of the armor and the brandishing of authentic weapons! The Knight brings his collection of swords, maces, flails, crossbows and more and safely demonstrates how some of these were used.
“Wait til your students see what a sword does to a melon!”

Students “ohh” and ahh” when they see the variety of weapons used by knights in the Middle Ages as they learn about the Medieval “arms race.” Selected students will get to try on pot helms, a pig-faced bascinet, and even a jousting helm. One lucky student even gets to hit the knight with a mace, to demonstrate the vulnerabilities of the pot helm! This is always a high point of the event!
A Medieval History Assembly like no other!
“I got to try on a helmet! It was so awesome!”
Your students will get to see and touch authentic medieval armor, all the while learning about life in the Middle Ages. The impression is lasting! Many of your students will remember this event for the rest of their lives. For some, this will touch of a passion for history and desire to learn more!

The Medieval History Assembly includes an audio-video presentation to show students the progression of arms and armor from the end of the Roman era to the start of the Renaissance. The Knight also shares some of the ancient rules of Chivalry. He especially emphasizes a knight’s duty to protect the honor of women, an ideal sorely lacking in modern society.
Time allowing, The Knight concludes with an extensive question and answer session where he opens students’ eyes about what life was really like in the Middle Ages.
“The students’ reactions when he explains chamber pots and privies is priceless!”
He discusses living conditions, rights (or lack thereof) of women, and more, showing the children how privileged they are compared to even a king in the Middle Ages.
